SkinStash

Privacy Policy

What SkinStash collects, and what it doesn't. Last reviewed 9 October 2026.

SkinStash is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, and no database of visitors. Downloading a skin happens entirely in your browser and doesn't require you to tell us anything about yourself.

What we collect

Not much. Like any website, our host records standard, aggregated server logs (such as the number of requests and rough traffic levels) to keep the site online and secure. We don't use those to build a profile of you, and we don't sell or share them.

Analytics and cookies

To find out which skin pages are popular, SkinStash uses Google Analytics 4 from Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. It counts the pages viewed and notes the site that sent you here, your approximate location (just city or country), your device and browser type, and how long your visit lasted. Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. We've turned off advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation, so the data is never used for ads and we never sell it.

Google Analytics uses two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which can last up to two years. They're only set after analytics has been allowed.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland get asked first with a banner, and nothing goes to Google unless they click Accept. Everywhere else, analytics is on by default and can be switched off whenever you want. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a no. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key analytics-consent — not in a cookie.

You can change your analytics choice any time. Google explains what it does with the data in its privacy policy, and it has an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics too.

The newsletter

If you choose to give us your email for the restock note, we use it only to email you when a new skin pack drops. We never sell it, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. If the signup form isn't wired to a provider yet, submitting it does nothing and stores nothing.

A few outbound links are affiliate links routed through our /go/ path. When you click one, the destination site may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure for the details.

Children

Minecraft has a young audience, and we've built the site with that in mind: no accounts to create, no personal details required to download a skin, and no scam, generator or account-selling links anywhere. If you're a parent or guardian and have a question, email us any time.
