About SkinStash
A small studio that draws original Minecraft skins and gives them away for free.
SkinStash is an independent, fan-made skin studio. We draw original character skins for Minecraft — cool, cute, girl, boy, funny and animal themes — and publish them as free 64×64 PNG downloads that anyone can grab and edit. That is the whole project: a growing locker of skins we made ourselves.
Everything here is original
This is the point we care most about. Skins uploaded to community sites like NameMC, Planet Minecraft and The Skindex are the property of the players who created them. We never scrape, trace or re-host those. Every skin on this site is drawn from scratch by us, pixel by pixel, which is precisely what lets us offer them as genuinely free downloads you are free to modify.
You can download our skins, edit them, and wear them anywhere. The only thing we ask is that you don't re-upload our artwork as your own skin pack. Beyond that, treat them as starter skins — a base to make your own.
What we won't do
We do not run or link scams, "free skin generator" pages, or account sellers. Those corners of the hobby prey on younger players and trade in things that aren't theirs to sell. There is nothing to gamble here and nothing to generate — just finished skins you download directly.
We also won't quote a price we haven't checked or claim a skin does something it can't. Skins are cosmetic; they change how your character looks and nothing else. Any page telling you a skin improves your aim or unlocks features is misleading you.
Not affiliated with Mojang
SkinStash is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios; we use the word only to describe what our skins are for. We don't use Minecraft or Mojang branding as our identity, and we don't distribute any of the game's own assets.
A couple of outbound links on the site — to Minecoins and the official Marketplace — are affiliate links. They never affect what we make or recommend, and they're all itemized in our affiliate disclosure. The skins themselves are free and always will be.
